Although the fans of Fallout 4 are currently busy with the latest DLC content, they do not have to wait long until they finally start thinking about the rumors of Fallout 5 and the speculation that may occur in the latest game series made by Bethesda. More than two years have passed since the first fan "set foot" in the ruins of Boston and since then Bethesda has always been silent on his plans for Fallout 5.
The lack of an official announcement did not stop fans from speculating on how the shape of the next entry in the post-apocalyptic role-playing series, where the setting is, and how much of an increase from Fallout 4 of 2015.
2018 could be the year for Bethesda to start talking about Fallout 5. It would not be possible if Bethesda let it be longer to announce the latest Fallout series considering it's been five years since New Vegas and Fallout 4. If it's true in 2018 Bethesda will announce Fallout 5, then it's possible that this great new game will be released in 2020. Here are 7 rumors of Fallout 5 you need to know!
1. Rumor Fallout 5 - The next location is in New Orleans
Among the Fallout games, the location of a sequel that may be set next is a topic most frequently debated. Not surprisingly, as it is very exciting to speculate about the location of the Fallout world .
Many fans think they have got the answer for the Fallout 5 world location when the brand hold for Fallout New Orleans filed in the European Intellectual Property Office. Obviously, this makes the game community splashy when it comes out in 2016, but there has been no progress since then and there is no official confirmation of the submission's link to Fallout 5 .
Some have also speculated that Louisiana will be used as a continuation for Fallout: New Vegas, but unfortunately developer Obsidian Entertainment has dismissed the news.
2. Rumor Fallout 5 - Multiplayer dan Co-Op
Bethesda has previously admitted that they added online multiplayer to all of their games during development to see if it worked well and will soon delete it if it did not work. As the director of Fallout 4, Todd Howard in 2015 told Mashable
"Believe it or not, every time we develop a game, we design a multiplayer mode just to see what we're going to do."
Online support could potentially make the next entry closer to the MMORPG element, but if Bethesda can add co-op or deathmatch features without sacrificing game narration, it might work.
Currently, Fallout is more inclined as a first-person shooter with RPG elements and after the success achieved by Bethesda through multiplayer Doom reboot mode, did not rule out Fallout 5 will have a cool multiplayer mode.
3. Rumor Fallout 5 - BattleCry Studios may be involved in the development
Parent company Bethesda ZeniMax Media founded BattleCry Studios to work on multiplayer games that ultimately never showed up, but the developer team has since been assigned to other projects. Is it possible that the project is Fallout 5?
Some people claim that the studio is working on an AAA gaming project for Bethesda and many have told that the project involves a post-apocalyptic wasteland location.
Although there is no evidence BattleCry has been assigned to Fallout, in fact, Obsidian Entertainment has underestimated its involvement with the sequel and other Bethesda subsidiaries are dealing with it, as Bethesda Game Studios team will be busy with the Elder Scrolls VI project.
For those of you who do not know, BattleCry is responsible for the multiplayer mode in Doom reboot in 2016, so if they do look in the development of Fallout 5, it's probably a rumor that Fallout 5 includes online and multiplayer modes still make sense.
4. Rumor Fallout 5 - Fallout 3 will precede the next sequel
Most reports seem to agree that Fallout 5 present before 2020 is a fan request that is quite "grandiose". According to a report, the Fallout 3 remake to support the latest generation consoles could be working so players can remember the times when 3D entries in the series were a novelty.
Rumors of the third entry in the remake comes after Bethesda struggled to overturn the Fallout 3 ban by the German government, where they consider the game dangerous for minors.
The company is believed to have undergone a protracted process and has also spent considerable funds in order for the government to lift an unreasonable ban for a game that has been released in previous generation game consoles in 2008.
Some of them concluded that it made perfect sense that Bethesda would do everything possible to get Fallout 3 free of the German blacklist for wanting to publish it again. Maybe Fallout 5 will be announced along with the Fallout 3 remastered version ?
5. Rumor Fallout 5 - Support VR and Creation Club
Support for virtual reality headset and Creation Club must be included in the list of rumors of this Fallout 5 , considering this feature is a relatively new addition to the latest games today.
Many have praised devices such as PlayStation VR and Oculus Rift as the future of the industry, so it seems that Bethesda will continue to move with the times and add genuine VR support to the next entry in the series of Bethesda game launches.
While for the Creation Club although this feature has received mixed responses from gamers, at least mod makers have now been paid for their hard work and most players also recognize that this system is better than other paid mod services.
6. Rumor Fallout 5 - Release before Elder Scrolls VI?
Fan RPGs may have been questioned about the recent Fallout presence, but in fact, they also want to know when the latest entry in the other Bethesda game series. The Elder Scrolls has become the best-selling series ever launched in the years before Fallout 4. Maybe some of you think that this is the first series, although that is not necessarily so.
At the end of 2016, Bethesda's marketing chief, Pete Hines, confirmed on Twitter that they were working on two "big projects", both of which were not The Elder Scrolls VI!
Some fans seem to believe one of them is Fallout. It is also possible that both projects are new games. The announcement of Fallout 5 before Elder Scrolls VI may be a surprise move, given Skyrim's release in 2011. And all this speculation may be missed at the mid-2013 E3 event scheduled to be held at the Los Angeles expo.
7. Rumor Fallout 5 - Use the latest game engine
One of the most important considerations for Bethesda today is updating their game engine technology. With modern standards, Fallout 4 can be said to still look rough, while The Elder Scrolls are based on the same technology since Morrowind in 2002.
In the list of job positions in Zenimax Media, you can see that the company is looking for Engine Programmer to help improve their game engine technology and that probably means their latest projects like Fallout 5 and Elder Scrolls VI will be supported by the new game engine .
It is also possible that Bethesda's parent company invests in the latest generation technology, to ensure it is able to support the fastest growing new hardware .
