Game Multiplayer Online Battle Arena or commonly abbreviated as MOBA now is mushrooming in smartphones. Some titles, such as Mobile Legends, Arena of Valor, and Vainglory become the flagship of mobile gamers. So famous and have each different hard-line fanbase between the MOBA game. What is the difference between the three games?
Differences Mobile Legends, AoV and Vainglory
Mobile Legends
The game made by Moonton in Indonesia arguably has the largest fan base among the two other rivals. Many have not known, before changing the name to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, this game was previously given the name Magic Rush: Heroes Mobile, Legends: 5v5 MOBA. Mobile Legends game itself was published by Moonton on July 11, 2016, for Android and November 9, 2016, for iOS. Since then, this game immediately stole the attention of mobile gamers.
Arena of Valor
Has a different name in every region, and in Indonesia called Mobile Arena, finally the publisher, Tencent Games uniform its name around the world into Arena of Valor or commonly abbreviated AoV. This game itself steals the attention of players because it has heroes adapted from DC comics, such as Batman, Superman, Joker, and Wonder Woman. This game itself was released on 26 November 2015 and crowned as the most popular game in 2017 by Google Play.
In September 2017, Nintendo was finally interested and officially announced bringing the Arena of Valor to the Nintendo Switch console as well. This is done so that AoV games can be played anywhere and anytime.
Vainglory
Released in November 2014, the game was first intended for iPad devices. Finally in July 2015 released the Android version and finally penetrated into the smartphone. When first introduced at the introduction of the iPhone 6, this game directly greeted with enthusiastic visitors.
It's not surprising to get a positive response from gamers because Super Evil Megacorp founder Vainglory is a veteran of Rockstar, Riot, Blizzard, and Insomniac. After years of maintaining the style of one line with 3v3, finally, recently Vainglory has the same 3v 5v5 line mode with other rival MOBA game.
The Difference is Mobile Legends, AoV, and Vainglory
1. Maps
There is not really a glaring difference about Maps from each of the games above. However, everything has its own characteristics in each of its Maps, such as the location of creep jungle and creep buff. The names of each map are also different, such as Sovereign's Rise for Vainglory, Land Of Dawn for Mobile Legends, and Antaris for Arena of Valor.
2. Control
If Mobile Legends and AoV both have virtual analogs that make them easier to play, they differ greatly from Vainglory which has a tap system. Certainly, tap control should prioritize precision when playing it and smartphones with bigger screens will benefit more.
3. Buy Item System
You can not carelessly buy items wherever your hero is when playing in Vainglory. Unlike Mobile Legends and AoV, you are required to purchase items at the base or in the jungle shop on both sides of the jungle.
4. Attribute
In Mobile Legends and AoV games, there is a system called attributes where you can raise the basic attribute of the hero you will use. If on AoV is called Arcana, and Mobile Legends itself is called Emblem. In Vainglory itself, there is a so-called Talent, but can only be used in Brawl Mode only, such as Blitz and Battle Royale.
5. 'Big Monster'
The difference also lies in each of the 'Big Monster' which will give help to an enemy base, buff, or money to buy items. In Vainglory itself, there are two 'Big Monster', the Blackclaw that will help destroy the turret and Ghostwing that will provide the buff.
In ML alone there is Lord who helps destroy enemy towers and Turtle who will give money. And in AoV there is an Abyssal Dragon that will give you money and a Dark Slayer that will give a buff to each hero.
Conclusion
Well, that's some of the differences we can find from Mobile Legends, AoV and Vainglory games. Each title certainly has its own advantages and disadvantages and of course, it is the right of each player to choose which game they would like to play. I've played all of those MOBA, and I think that Mobile Legends is better than AOV and Vainglory.
